Jones FM delivers high‑quality building maintenance services across commercial, residential, and industrial sites. Our team keeps buildings safe, compliant, and running smoothly. As our portfolio grows, we’re looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join our team.
You’ll be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of building systems, with a strong focus on electrical work. This role suits someone who enjoys variety, problem‑solving, and working across multiple trades when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical maintenance, fault‑finding, testing, and repairs in line with regulations.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems and building services.
- Respond to reactive maintenance requests quickly and effectively.
- Support general building maintenance tasks such as basic plumbing, fabric repairs, and minor mechanical work.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate job records and report any issues or recommendations.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients and building users.
About You:
- NVQ Level 2 qualified (minimum)
- 18th Edition (minimum)
- Strong experience in building maintenance or facilities engineering.
- Confident in electrical fault‑finding and working on commercial building systems.
- Multi‑skilled approach with the ability to assist in other trades when required.
- Good understanding of compliance, safety procedures, and building regulations.
- Self‑motivated, organised, and able to work independently.
