Are you a dedicated and compassionate KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a long-term opportunity where you can provide meaningful, consistent support to children who need it most? If you are passionate about inclusive education and making a genuine impact, this could be the role for you.
Long Term Futures is working with a supportive and welcoming primary school in Rugby (CV22) to recruit a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 2. The school has a strong SEN ethos, a proactive SENCO and a collaborative staff team who value consistency, structure and positive relationships.

The Role
As a KS2 SEN TA, you will support pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties. Support may be provided on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, depending on pupil needs. You will play a key role in helping pupils feel safe, regulated and confident within the classroom, enabling them to engage with learning and make progress.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing tailored SEN support within KS2 classrooms
- Supporting pupils to work towards EHCP targets
- Assisting with emotional regulation, behaviour support and engagement
- Delivering targeted interventions in literacy, numeracy or social skills
- Adapting activities and resources to meet individual needs
- Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider support staff

The Ideal Candidate
- The school is keen to hear from candidates who:
- Have experience supporting children with SEN in a primary or KS2 setting
- Are calm, patient and confident managing challenging behaviour
- Can build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
- Are reliable and committed to a long-term role
- Hold, or are willing to obtain, an Enhanced Child DBS
