Summary
Experienced Teaching Assistant - Autism Support (Primary)
Bury | Full-time | Summer Term (Easter - July)
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Bury for the summer term.
This is a full-time role supporting primary-aged children with Autism, working closely with class teachers and the wider support team to help pupils thrive both academically and emotionally.
About the role
• Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Autism
• Supporting children with challenging behaviour in a calm, consistent, and positive manner
• Helping to create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
• Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals
Essential requirements
• Proven experience supporting primary-aged children with Autism
• Confidence and skill in managing challenging behaviour
• A current Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
• A patient, resilient, and compassionate approach
