Are you a patient, proactive SEN Teaching Assistant who thrives in structured, specialist environments?

Long Term Futures is working with a welcoming primary school in B45 to recruit a SEN Hub Teaching Assistant to join their Specialist SEN HUB. This role involves supporting pupils with SLCN, SEMH and wider SEND, working alongside three experienced SEN TAs and a dedicated SEN Teacher.

About the SEN Hub
The Specialist HUB provides a calm, structured and nurturing environment for pupils who require targeted SEN provision alongside their mainstream education. Pupils access tailored interventions, small group learning and individualised support to help them regulate, communicate and engage with learning.

The Role
As a SEN Hub TA, you will:
- Support pupils across KS1 and KS2 within the Specialist HUB
- Deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions linked to EHCP outcomes
- Work collaboratively with the SEN Teacher and SEN team to implement consistent strategies
- Support communication development and emotional regulation
- Help pupils transition between the HUB and mainstream classrooms where appropriate

SEN Strategies You Will Use
- Visual timetables and now/next boards
- Communication-friendly approaches for SLCN (clear language, modelling, processing time)
- Emotion coaching and de-escalation strategies
- Sensory regulation tools and structured routines
- Positive behaviour support and consistency across staff

What the School Is Looking For
- Experience supporting children with SLCN, SEMH or SEND
- Confidence working in a Specialist HUB or SEN resource base
- A calm, adaptable and team-focused approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow structured plans
- Enhanced Child DBS (or willingness to apply)
