Summary

PERSONAL CARE ASSISTANTS VACANCIES – Wivenhoe

Maternity leave cover required until 31st July 2026

Permanent hours cover required as soon as possible

We are looking for people to join our friendly team to look after a gentleman in his own home. The gentleman has learning disability, physical disability, no speech and epilepsy. He enjoys being outside in the community, great sense of humour, loves motorbikes, going sailing and swimming amongst other things. You must demonstrate a genuine interest in working with learning disabilities (show empathy, respect, promote dignity), helping the gentleman to maintain as much independence as possible. Helping with all aspects of daily living. You must be able to work as part of a team, help to cover annual leave and sick days. Knowledge of learning disability and epilepsy is essential.

Pay at present: £12.21 up to £14.20 per hour

Duties:
• Assisting with personal care
• Assisting with eating and drinking
• Laundry
• Preparing food and cooking
• Assisting with shopping
• Medication administration
• Light housework
• Accessing the community and activities

Essential:
• Must be 25 years of age or over
• Must hold a clean full UK driving licence
• Subject to an enhanced DBS check
• English speaking is preferred
