Summary

Women's Ministry Lead

Christ Apostolic Church Pilgrims Tabernacle is a thriving Pentecostal church in the East of London. We are united by our desire to make Jesus known and see His people grow in maturity and faith.

We’re looking for a Women’s Ministry Lead; someone who loves Jesus, loves His Word, and loves helping women grow in their relationship with Him. This is a key leadership role – you’ll be shaping, encouraging and equipping women’s ministry across the church. A Church Women’s Leader designs and implements programs to foster the spiritual growth, fellowship, and emotional well-being of women within the congregation. Key duties include leading bible studies, organizing retreats, mentoring, developing volunteer teams, and aligning women's ministry initiatives with the broader church mission.

Key Responsibilities
* Ministry Development: Leading and developing women’s ministry at CACPT. Assess the needs of women in the church to develop, plan, and execute relevant programs, Bible studies, and special events.
* Leadership & Team Building: Recruit, train, and support volunteers to lead small groups or ministry initiatives.
* Pastoral Support & Care: Offer guidance, mentorship, and support to women in the congregation, especially those in crisis.
* Collaboration: Work closely with church leadership to ensure that women's ministry aligns with overall church goals, and advocate for women’s needs within the church board.
* Outreach & Connection: Foster a community that connects women, encouraging intergenerational fellowship and mission-oriented service.
* Discipling, mentoring and praying with women.
* Encouraging others to use their gifts in ministry.
* Working with the pastoral team to provide care and support.
* Being part of a warm, prayerful and supportive staff team.

Typical Structure
* Reports to: Pastor or Associate Pastor.
* Committee/Team: Chairs the Women’s Ministries committee.
* Position Type: Can be a paid staff position (Director) or a volunteer leadership role.

Qualifications & Skills
* Spiritual Maturity: A deep, demonstrated faith in Jesus Christ, a commitment to biblical principles, and a servant’s heart.
* Leadership Abilities: Proven skill in planning, organizing, delegating, and motivating teams.
* Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to build relationships, listen, and mentor.
* Communication: Effective communication skills for promoting events, and coordinating with church leadership.
* Has a deep, personal relationship with Jesus.
* Loves God’s Word and applies it wisely to everyday life.
* Has experience in women’s ministry and a heart to see others grow.
* Is a natural encourager and team player.
* Communicates clearly and warmly.
* Will play an active role in the life of the church.

We anticipate this will be a full-time role but would consider part time for the right candidate.

If you’re passionate about seeing women flourish in their faith and eager to serve within a warm, gospel-centred community, we’d love to hear from you. Email seniorpastor@pilgrimstabernacle.org for a full job description and details of how to apply.
