Are you enthusiastic, caring and passionate about supporting children? We’re looking for a friendly, reliable Before & After School Club Assistant to join our team and help create a safe, engaging and enjoyable environment for children aged 411.
About the Role:
As a valued member of our club team, you will help deliver a range of fun, creative and stimulating activities for children before and after the school day. You’ll support children’s wellbeing, build positive relationships with families, and help ensure the club runs smoothly and safely every day. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and is looking to develop experience in childcare, education, or playwork.
What You’ll Do:
- Support the supervision, care and wellbeing of children aged 411.
- Help set up and lead creative play, games and activities.
- Prepare and serve healthy snacks following food hygiene guidance.
- Maintain a safe, clean and positive environment at all times.
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers.
- Work collaboratively with club staff to deliver a highquality service.
- Assist with basic recordkeeping, including first aid and accident reporting.
- Uphold school policies including safeguarding, inclusion, health & safety and equality.
What We’re Looking For:
- A warm, approachable and childfocused individual.
- Experience working or volunteering with children (ages 411).
- Good communication and teamworking skills.
- Ability to support a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment.
- Willingness to undertake training such as NVQ Level 3, Food Hygiene and Paediatric First Aid.
Additional Information:
- Grade: 1 (SCP 611)
- Safeguarding: Enhanced DBS required.
- Hours: 7.45am 8.45am daily | 3pm 6pm daily | 20 hours weekly
- Reports to: Club Manager
