Summary

Residential Support Worker

We are currently recruiting Residential Support Workers to work on an agency basis within a children's residential setting in Abingdon.

As a Support Worker, you will provide the highest standard of care, ensuring all children's needs are met in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing high-quality care while promoting safeguarding and welfare

  • Supporting children with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs

  • Encouraging learning through play, experience, and daily activities

  • Supporting independence with everyday tasks and personal care

  • Participating in activities including swimming, walks, education, and community outings

About You

The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing quality care and education and committed to supporting children to achieve positive outcomes.

Essential qualities include:

  • The ability to travel to Abingdon

  • Experience working with children or young people with learning disabilities, autism, or similar needs

  • Patience, understanding, and a willingness to learn

  • A calm, positive, and encouraging approach

  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare
