As an Employment Advisor , you will support people to move closer to work by building confidence, providing clear guidance and helping them take practical steps forward.

You will work directly with individuals who need encouragement, structure and reliable support to progress into employment. This includes helping people understand expectations, overcome challenges and stay focused on their goals.

You will manage your own caseload, build positive professional relationships and balance meaningful conversations with practical action and accurate record keeping. You will be part of a supportive frontline team with clear expectations and day-to-day support.

This role is office-based, fast paced and target-driven.It suits someone who values routine, organisation and follow-through, and who feels comfortable working to clear expectations.

What Will You Do?

You will:

  • Work directly with people to understand their goals and support progress towards employment
  • Build positive, professional relationships based on trust, consistency and honesty
  • Provide clear guidance, encouragement and practical support
  • Manage a busy caseload and daily appointments effectively
  • Keep accurate, timely records of activity and outcomes
  • Follow safeguarding, confidentiality and compliance requirements

What you will bring

  • Experience in a support, customer-facing or advisory role

  • A genuine interest in helping people build confidence and independence

“Every day, I work with people joining the Programme.I support individuals from all walks of life, including professionals, carers, school and college leavers, people with limited English, and people experiencing homelessness.

No matter someone’s starting point, the focus is on breaking barriers, rebuilding confidence and creating real routes back into employment. Seeing people grow, progress and succeed is what motivates me.

My day includes carrying out detailed assessments, understanding each person’s situation and providing tailored support. This might involve:

  • CV and interview support

  • Job search and application guidance

  • Mock interviews

  • Linking people to specialist services or homelessness support

  • Helping with practical barriers such as travel costs for interviews

The result is people who feel more confident, better prepared and ready to move into work.”
