Summary
Our client is looking for two personal assistants to support their daughter, who requires support
accessing the community. She has Autism, ADHD, PDA and conduct disorder, and requires support in
a 2:1 capacity.
The successful candidates should be bubbly and energetic, able to manage challenging behaviours
and maintain boundaries, be clear in communication and be understanding. Our client’s daughter is
very energetic, so it is important that the successful candidates are comfortable with physical
activity.
Our client’s daughter can engage in self-injurious behaviours due to difficulties managing emotions
and communication, so the successful candidates should be supportive of her development and be
patient. She is a fun and caring individual who wants to make friends and enjoy a social life. Our
client’s daughter has a particular interest in horses and loves horse riding, as well as spending time
around animals and enjoying the farm environment. She also enjoys swimming, walking and
shopping (during quieter periods).
The role is 6 hours per week term time and 9 hours per week during half term, paid at £12.66ph. The
hours to be worked outside of school hours, specifics to be negotiated with the employer upon
appointment.
Driver essential.
Due to the nature of the role an enhanced DBS will need to be completed, which we will fund.
