Summary

Year 5 Class Teacher

Humly is recruiting a Year 5 Class Teacher to join a primary school on a long-term basis.

This is a full-time role starting 23 February 2026 and continuing until 17 July 2026, covering the full Spring and Summer terms. This role would suit an experienced Key Stage 2 teacher who is confident delivering the national curriculum and maintaining high standards of behaviour, learning, and pupil wellbeing.

What You’ll Be Doing

Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 national curriculum

Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment

Assess, track, and report on pupil progress to support learning outcomes

Adapt teaching to meet a range of learning needs and abilities

Work collaboratively with colleagues to support whole-school priorities

Promote pupil confidence, independence, and wellbeing

What You’ll Bring

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

Confidence delivering structured lessons across core subjects

Ability to support pupils with varying learning needs

A professional, reliable, and collaborative approach

Pay

Non-AWR: £120+ per day

AWR (from week 13): £168.80 – £232.57 per day (M1 – M6)
