Summary
Calderdale College is seeking a confident and customer‑focused Weekend Commercial Officer to support commercial activity within our Inspire Centre. You will provide a professional front‑of‑house service for partners, clients and visitors, ensuring a positive experience and smooth operation of weekend bookings, events and facility use.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high‑quality customer service to commercial clients and visitors.
Respond to enquiries in person and by phone, maintaining a welcoming and professional environment.
Support security processes, ensuring only authorised individuals access the building.
Operate the College phone system and handle income, card transactions and receipts.
Prepare facilities for use, including equipment set‑up and take‑down.
Liaise with cleaning and facilities teams to maintain safe, clean and well‑managed spaces.
Ensure accurate financial recording and contribute to site security.
Act as a Fire Warden and support emergency procedures.
Build strong relationships with clients, staff and stakeholders.
Provide shift cover when required and report feedback or issues promptly.
Skills & Attributes
Strong customer service skills across face‑to‑face, phone and email interactions.
Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and stay calm under pressure.
Confident communicator with excellent organisational skills.
Knowledge of health and safety, administrative systems and basic IT tools.
Flexible, reliable and able to troubleshoot issues effectively.
Professional, positive and committed to delivering an excellent customer experience.
