Summary


We have an exciting opportunity forsuitably qualifiedadministratorstojoin ourcentralised bed management service, theCentral Flow Hub, which isa 24/7 servicebasedat the Gordon Hospital. The service enables cross-system support and management of themental healthbed base of CNWL through coordinating,recordingand managing all bed requests acrosssites; andworks closely with local boroughpatient flow / discharge co-ordinatorsandthe Single Point of Access (SPA).


The Patient Flow Administrator will support the Central Flow Hub, working closely with cross-system partners and supportingCFH clinicians by planning, organizing,coordinatingand providing administrative duties as needed.


We are looking for motivatedindividuals who candemonstratea clear understanding of confidentiality issues andare ableto respond to queries within and outside of the organisation in a professional and empathetic manner usingtheirown judgement anddecision-makingskills.Theymust be able toclearly and accurately convey informationbothverballyand in writing.


You willrequiregood IT skills and comprehensive working knowledge of the use of Microsoft Office software – Word, Excel,PowerPointand Access; and have experience of working in a healthcare setting.


Candidates will be expected to work a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week shift pattern.

Thepostholder will play a vital role in supporting effective patient flow and bed management across the Trust by providing high-quality administrative support to Patient Flow Clinicians and contributing to the smooth operation of patient pathways


They will carry out administrative tasks asrequired, including processing referrals and emails into the service; andmaintainingeffective administration systems and processes for the team.


They will work within service level standards to deliver an efficient service; dealing with telephone enquiries from other healthcare professionals and statutory and non-statutory organisations.


They will provide non-clinical information to other professionals within the boundaries the role; takingaccuratemessages, respondingappropriatelyand passing information asrequiredand escalating issues to clinical staff asappropriate.
