Summary
Principal duties include: Deliver and co-facilitate carer-led training sessions for staff, drawing on lived experience to improve understanding of carers roles, needs and rights. Contribute to the design, development and evaluation of training materials, workshops and resources related to carer involvement, wellbeing and support. The post holder should be comfortable in the use of computer technology, have basic keyboard skills and have the ability to use email. Share lived experience safely and appropriately to influence culture change, challenge stigma and promote compassionate, inclusive practice. Support the implementation of key priorities such as the Triangle of Care, PCREF and other carer-focused frameworks. Work with teams to ensure carer voices are embedded in service improvement, policy development and staff education. Act as a link between carers and services, helping staff better understand the impact of mental illness on families and support networks. Gather feedback from carers and staff to help inform ongoing improvements to training and practice.
