Job Title: HR Assistant / HR Officer
Location: Burton-on-Trent
Hours: Monday-Friday | Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £29,000 p/a DOE
At a glance:
Great step-up role for an experienced HR administrator/assistant looking for more responsibility. You'll be the first point of contact for HR queries across company subsidiaries, supporting managers with employee relations, training, and recruitment activities.
Key responsibilities:
- Act as first-line contact for ER, policy and contractual queries.
- Support and coach managers through investigations and formal HR processes.
- Maintain and update the Skills Matrix and time & attendance system.
- Produce and interpret HR data, highlighting issues and proposing actions.
- Manage and support recruitment administrators and recruitment projects.
- Help coordinate and promote appraisals, performance reviews and HR training.
- Contribute to HR and operational projects as needed.
Essential skills & experience:
- Experience in an HR Administrator/Assistant/Co-ordinator role.
- Confident advising managers on HR procedures and basic ER issues.
- Strong communication, organisation and attention to detail.
- Competent user of HR systems and MS Office.
- CIPD Level 3 (or equivalent)
- Full UK driving licence - required (multi-site role).
