Leigh Academy Longfield is seeking a Lead Practitioner - Maths to join our vibrant secondary school. This isn’t just a teaching role; it’s a strategic leadership position designed for a "teacher of teachers." You will play a pivotal role in refining our curriculum, mentoring early-career teachers, and ensuring our students achieve exceptional outcomes through innovative, research-led practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Pedagogical Leadership: Lead the development of evidence-based teaching strategies, ensuring that the latest cognitive science and mathematical research are integrated into classroom practice.
• Staff Development: Design and facilitate bespoke professional development programmes, providing high-impact coaching and mentorship to staff at all career stages.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct regular learning walks, work scrutinies, and data analyses to identify areas for improvement and implement effective intervention strategies.
• Curriculum Design: Collaborate on the strategic refinement of the Mathematics curriculum to ensure it is ambitious, inclusive, and prepares students for the rigours of higher education and professional life.
