Summary
Practice Development Nurse
SCFT has 12 inpatient Wards across Sussex providing care and rehabilitation to our patients.
We are now looking for an experienced nurse interested in the training and support of clinical staff to join our Practice Development team supporting our inpatient units. Applicants will need to be focused on the delivery of quality care for our patients and be enthusiastic about education, service improvement and developing career progression options for our staff.
The successful candidate will work closely with the inpatient Ward Managers and the other Practice Development Nurses in the team, to identify areas in need of support and opportunities for development.

The Practice Development Nurses have a lead role in the development and provision of practice education standards for the inpatient Units for the Trust. This interesting and varied role provides mentorship, work based learning facilitation and teaching. You will be working with divisional leads and specialist nurses to support change by identifying training needs and assisting in the design and delivery of same.

Key areas of focus will include supporting staff, delivering and facilitating education programmes, conducting clinical assessments, and leading and reporting on audits/projects within the locality.
The post holder will need to have a solid understanding of current education requirements for clinical staff (particularly Registered Nurses, support staff and those seeking a pathway to registration) and the roles undertaken within the Intermediate Care Units and the Primary Care Networks/Community Nursing teams.
