Summary
JOB PURPOSE To provide a full general practice service across different settings according to the portfolio role of the GP and the needs of the service. Main Responsibilities The post holder will be responsible for seeing patients in an identical manner to regular general practice work, taking responsibility for a patients care and only referring back to their own GP where appropriate, consistent with ensuring every contact counts. This will involve routine, urgent and telephone appointments, as well as supporting the clinical and administrative teams in the best interests of the patient that supports a patient seeing the right person at the right time in the right place. The GP is expected to do any referrals required and appropriately prescribe within the Herefordshire guidelines, taking into account the Low Priority Treatment guidance from the CCG.
