Summary

Project Manager needed in Portsmouth Paying £350.86 per day ref 5288493

Full time hours on a temporary basis

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end‑to‑end delivery of the Housing Management System transformation programme.
  • Provide leadership and line management to the project team including the Project Coordinator, Data Lead, Business Analyst, Test Lead and specialist contractors.
  • Act as the central link between Housing, IT & Digital, Data, Procurement, Finance, corporate governance teams, suppliers and delivery partners.
  • Ensure strategic alignment with cloud, cyber security, data protection, architectural standards and corporate IT governance.
  • Work with Housing stakeholders to ensure the solution meets all regulatory and compliance obligations.
  • Own and maintain the programme plan, managing scope, milestones, budgets, risks, dependencies and reporting.
  • Oversee technical and functional workstreams, including data cleansing, migration, integrations, environment management and configuration.
  • Manage SIT, UAT and all test cycles, ensuring quality assurance and readiness for go‑live.
  • Drive business change activities, ensuring new processes, operating models and workflows are embedded.
  • Lead organisational readiness, including training, communications, impact assessments and transition to BAU (HOTS).
  • Champion data quality, governance and the development of a single authoritative dataset.
  • Promote strong engagement with tenants, residents, staff, elected members and partner agencies throughout the programme.
  • Ensure benefits realisation is clearly defined, monitored and achieved.
  • Embed continuous improvement and lessons learned to support long‑term transformation.
