Summary
As the first point of contact for visitors arriving at Wallington, you’ll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, process transactions, sell memberships, answer questions from visitors, and above all make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit.
Salary: 12.75 per hour
Duration: Fixed term contract until 31/12/2026
Hours: 655 hours a year. This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.
The hours will be worked flexibly. It is expected that you'll work the majority of your hours between February and October, with limited hours during the other months of the year, predominantly weekends and school holidays. For this role, you will need to be available to work weekends, school holidays and bank holidays.

What you'll be doing
Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. We operate an in-car driveway arrival point. You’ll be involved in processing transactions and selling memberships in all weathers and sometimes with large numbers of cars arriving at the property. You’ll need good stamina and the ability to adapt quickly to changing visitor flow. You’ll be on hand answering queries, listening to what our visitors need so you can share the right information, and generally helping to grow support for the National Trust.
