About the Role
We currently have an exciting vacancy in the Environmental Health team at Trafford Council, for a Regulatory Support Officer. This role is a temporary 12 month post, working 21.75 hours per week (over 3 days). The Environmental Health Officers in the team deal with a variety of areas of work including food hygiene, food standards, health and safety, public health, animal welfare and sports ground safety. As part of the team you will carry out interventions, audits, provide advice and other activities, to ensure Trafford is a safer place to live and work.
About you
You will be currently enrolled or completed in a degree or diploma in Environmental Health (Working to complete your portfolio) or be working towards/completed a RCO apprenticeship (level 4) or other equivalent experience.
You will be able to demonstrate your ability to work independently but also as part of a team. You will keep up to date with the relevant regulations, policy and legislation relating these areas of Environmental Health.

Flexibility will be required to core hours are 7am -9pm (Monday-Friday) , there may be a requirement for some work out of core hours.
You will have flexibility in terms of hybrid working at home and in the office.
