Summary

Deputy Children’s Home Manager

Location: Bromyard, Herefordshire
Salary: £30,000 – £37,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

We are seeking an experienced and committed Deputy Children’s Home Manager to join our children’s residential home in Bromyard. This role is ideal for a senior residential childcare professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes.

The Role

As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to support the effective day-to-day operation of the home. You will help create a safe, stable, and nurturing environment for children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs, while ensuring care is delivered in line with regulatory and organisational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Registered Manager in the overall management of the home

  
  

• Lead, supervise, and motivate the residential care team

  
  

• Act as a role model and provide consistent, child-centred care

  
  

• Ensure safeguarding procedures and care plans are followed effectively

  
  

• Contribute to positive Ofsted inspections and continuous improvement

  
  

• Take responsibility for the home in the absence of the Registered Manager

  
  Requirements

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

    
    

  • Working towards or willing to complete Level 5 Leadership and Management

    
    

  • Experience in a senior role within a children’s residential setting

    
    

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
