Summary
You will use your previous training as a CWP or EMHP to deliver low level mental health interventions to adolescents and the parents of children presenting with mild-moderate anxiety, low mood and behaviours that challenge. As part of this role you will be expected to triage incoming referrals, complete initial assessments, complete risk assessments, deliver 1-1 and group interventions, and facilitate workshops. You will also be expected to represent the service and present at internal and external meetings and events as required. You will support with relevant service improvement and development tasks and support trainee practitioners and new staff induction as appropriate which may include them shadowing your work. There will be occasions where you may be asked to work flexibly e.g. running workshops and groups after 5pm and working across more than one area when needed. Therefore, please note it is essential you have a full driving license, have access to a car and that you are confident and comfortable driving. You will be expected to work towards set targets and use your initiative to meet the needs of the service and children and young people we serve. This role would suit applicants keen to progress their career as a CWP, working therapeutically with children and families.
