HEAD OF HR - PROJECTS
Strategic HR Transformation | Data-Led Change | Senior Leadership Impact
Hybrid Working - Flexible on location but travel to Milton Keynes and Nottingham will be required
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a rare and high-impact opportunity to shape the future of HR within a large, fast-growing, multi-location UK manufacturing
business.
As Head of HR Projects, you will be the strategic engine behind managing HR change and transformation projects —leading a complex
portfolio of programmes that fundamentally improve how HR delivers value to the business. Sitting at the heart of the HR
leadership agenda, you will partner closely with the Chief People Officer, HR SLT and cross functionally, turning strategy into
disciplined, insight-led project management delivery.
Are you an experienced HR leader who thrives in complexity, organisation and influencing —someone who brings rigour, clarity and
momentum to transformation, underpinned by strong analytics and Power BI capability. You will embed best-in-class project
governance, help transform HR ways of working and ensure every initiative delivers measurable outcomes aligned to both the HR
strategy and wider business goals.
ROLE PURPOSE
To oversee, manage and support delivery of a portfolio of strategic HR transformation initiatives, setting and embedding robust
project governance and data-driven insight to enable confident decision-making at HR SLT and Executive level—while ensuring
delivery of tangible improvements in efficiency, engagement, capability and cost control.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
STRATEGIC HR TRANSFORMATION
* Lead the project management of multiple, complex HR change and transformation programmes, ensuring on-time outcomes, benefit
realisation and cost savings are achieved.
* Partner with the CPO and senior HR leaders to shape, prioritise and govern the most impactful initiatives across the HR agenda.
* Own the HR strategic framework and roadmap, providing a clear, joined-up and prioritised programme view.
* Track progress, update and delivery of programmes aligned to the People Plan.
PROJECT & PROGRAMME LEADERSHIP
* Own end-to-end project management across the full lifecycle—from business case through to implementation and outcome delivery.
* Establish and embed HR PMO standards, governance frameworks and disciplined ways of working across all HR functions.
* Manage project P&L, financial viability, benefits tracking and budget control across the HR portfolio.
* Working with HR SLT secure and manage resources, balancing capacity and conflicting priorities across a demanding change
agenda.
* Identify and raise risks, issues and dependencies across programme to HR SLT
DATA, INSIGHT & REPORTING
* Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, KPIs and metrics to track HR performance, programme progress and value delivery.
* Develop robust reporting road maps, frameworks and data capture methods to provide timely, actionable insight.
* Translate complex HR and business data into clear, compelling narratives for HR SLT and Executive decision-making.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

* Deep understanding of HR change and transformation methodologies, including organisational design and operating model change.
* Strong knowledge across core HR disciplines and how they integrate within wider business strategy.
* Expertise in project/programme governance, PMO design and delivery frameworks.
* Strong understanding of budgeting, cost control and ROI.
* Working knowledge of HRIS platforms, system development life-cycles and data governance.

* Strong commercial and financial acumen, including managing project P&L and cost-saving initiatives.
* Excellent communication and facilitation skills, able to lead workshops, strategy sessions and decision forums.
* Highly organised, resilient and effective in fast-paced, high-change environments.
EXPERIENCE
