Are you an experienced and resilient Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs?
A welcoming and supportive Primary School in Salford is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work one-to-one with a pupil in Year 5 who has a diagnosis of Autism. The role requires a calm and confident individual who can build strong, trusting relationships and manage challenging behaviour effectively.
The Role:

Providing 1:1 support for a pupil in Year 5 with Autism.

Supporting the pupil’s academic, social, and emotional development throughout the school day.

Implementing individualised strategies to support learning and behaviour.

Collaborating with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to ensure consistent support.

Contributing to a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Previous experience supporting children with Autism in a school setting.

Confidence in managing challenging behaviour using de-escalation techniques.

A calm, patient, and proactive approach to working with children with additional needs.

A good understanding of safeguarding and SEND best practices.

The ability to work effectively as part of a wider team.
