At Forge Holiday Group, we don’t just do holidays, we create memories. With market-leading brands like Sykes Holiday Cottages, Forest Holidays and Bachcare in New Zealand, we’re 1,700+ strong and powered by four values: One Business One Team, Keep it Simple, Grow & Learn, Sustainable Impact.
We’re looking for a Cabin Innovation Co-ordinator to help bring our brand and guest experience to life across our growing estate. If you’re creative, organised, and love turning ideas and insights into real-world spaces, this could be the perfect role for you.
This role sits at the heart of how we design and deliver new cabins, trials, and developments, making sure every build reflects our brand, meets guest expectations, and works operationally.
About the Cabin Innovation Co-ordinator Role:
As Cabin Innovation Co-ordinator, you’ll champion the customer and brand voice throughout the delivery of build projects. Working under the strategic direction of the Head of Guest Experience and alongside Marketing, Design, Build, and Procurement, you’ll translate customer insight and brand vision into practical, evidence-based design solutions.
From supporting new cabin concepts and interior schemes to advising on wider site fixtures, you’ll play a key role in shaping how our spaces look, feel, and function—balancing creativity with cost, quality, and deliverability.
What You’ll Do:
Support cabin (building) design by producing clear customer and brand briefs
Develop and refine practical design options, balancing guest experience, cost, and buildability
Create interior schemes including finishes, fixtures, fittings, and equipment
Produce design packs such as mood boards, schedules, and option papers
Work with Procurement to source fit-for-purpose FF&E and propose value-engineered alternatives
Support design reviews, design freeze, and buildability sessions with the Build team
Advise on other site elements such as signage, wayfinding, play areas, and selected Retreat features
Apply brand and design governance to ensure consistency across all projects
Maintain decision logs and support compliance with agreed standards
Use guest feedback, trial results, and market trends to improve standard designs
Support pre-opening brand/design readiness and capture post-opening learnings
Collaborate closely with Design, Build PMs, Marketing, Procurement, and Operations
What You’ll Bring:
✅ Experience or qualification in interior design, textiles, or a related creative discipline
✅ Experience translating customer insight and brand vision into practical design solutions
✅ Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
✅ Confident communicator, comfortable working across multiple teams
✅ A proactive, solutions-focused approach in a project environment
Even Better If You Have…
➡️ Experience supporting build projects in hospitality, leisure, or tourism
➡️ Familiarity with governance frameworks and cross-functional project delivery
➡️ Experience considering budgets, cost trade-offs, or value engineering
➡️ Exposure to FF&E sourcing, specifications, or supplier liaison
