Glencorse Care Home, located in the heart of the new Greenlaw Mains community in Penicuik, is a purpose built, luxury care home. It provides high quality Residential, Dementia, Nursing and Respite care for up to 54 residents in beautifully appointed en suite bedrooms.

We are looking for a reliable and detail focused Laundry Assistant to join our team. You will play a key role in maintaining clean, organised, and well managed laundry services, supporting residents’ comfort and wellbeing while contributing to the smooth running of the home.

What You Will Do
As a Laundry Assistant, you will be responsible for handling all laundry services across the home, including sorting, washing, drying, ironing, and safely returning items to residents. You will manage laundry equipment, ensure hygienic handling of clothing and linens, and maintain a clean and safe laundry environment. Your role will directly support residents’ dignity and comfort.

  • A reliable team player with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Previous laundry or domestic experience is desirable but not essential
  • A positive, proactive attitude and good communication skills
  • A caring approach with respect for residents’ needs and wellbeing
