Contract: Full Time Salary: £12.21 Per Hour Shift Type: Days Contracted hours: 30Glencorse Care Home, located in the heart of the new Greenlaw Mains community in Penicuik, is a purpose built, luxury care home. It provides high quality Residential, Dementia, Nursing and Respite care for up to 54 residents in beautifully appointed en suite bedrooms.
We are looking for a reliable and detail focused Housekeeping Assistant to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. This role plays a vital part in supporting residents wellbeing and ensuring high standards of hygiene throughout the home.

What You Will Do
As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness across the care home, including resident bedrooms, communal areas, and facilities. You will carry out cleaning tasks in line with infection prevention and health and safety guidelines, manage waste disposal, and support laundry services when required. Your work will contribute directly to creating a comfortable and dignified living environment for residents.
What We’re Looking For
- A reliable team player with good attention to detail
- Understanding of hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Previous housekeeping or domestic experience is desirable but not essential
- A positive, proactive attitude and good communication skills
- A caring approach with respect for residents dignity and wellbeing
