Our Commitment to you is to help you complete a Business Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship within the Research & Innovation Department, within a 18-month contract.

Hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week with a salary of £280.90 per week for the first 12 months and then the National Minimum Wage
dependent on age.

Within this exciting apprenticeship you will:
1.Provide support to the R&I Administrative Team in maintaining a database of all research activity across the Trust.
2.Undertake a development programme leading to an Apprenticeship Standard as part of an employed apprenticeship within the agreed
timescale of 18 months.
3.Actively participate in a development plan which will be regularly reviewed with the line manager and training provider and progress to
achieving the end point assessment.

To qualify for the apprenticeship role the minimum criteria is:-
• A GCSE in English and Maths
• Have not completed an apprenticeship at the same level and sector in the past.
• You do not have a Degree in a similar or same subject

> Toworkinasupportedlearningenvironmenttoundertakea development programme leading to a National Standard as part of an apprenticeship programme (BusinessAdministration Level 3).

> To develop the skills and knowledge required to complete theprogrammeendpointassessmenttosecureemployment and progress in their career in the future.

> To provide support to the R&I Administrative Team in maintaining a database of all research activity across the Trust,such as managing databases andaddinginformationaccuratelyandinatimelyfashion.

> To assist with diary management for the R&I Team, helping tomanage mailboxes,providingdocumentationas appropriate for meeting agendas and assisting with study archiving requests.



> To provide a welcoming ‘front of house’ presence on the reception desk, greeting visitors, directing enquiries appropriately, assisting with meeting set upandprovidingrefreshmentswhererequired.

• To assist with the organisation of meetings, conferences, seminars and workshops, including securingappropriatevenues,speakersandfacilitators,devisingprogrammesanddelegatepacks.
• Toattendmeetings asrequired,takenotes,reportbackifnecessary andcompileminutes.
• Tohelp toproducedataandinformationasrequiredforresearch andauditpurposes.
• Assistthesupportneedsoftheteam are met,includingtheorderingofequipmentandsupplies.
• Develophighqualityadministrationanddatamanagementstandards andaimtoensurethese are maintained at all times, particularly when working under pressure.
• Documentsandinformationiswell managed,handledandexchangedwithcare,accuracyand maintaining confidentiality.
• ToassistthemembersoftheR&ITeamonthe managementofpaperworkthroughthe research governance approval procedure. This will involve tasks such as photocopying, collation of submission of documents, data entry onto databases.
• Toassistwithstudyarchivingrequests.
• Toengageandcommunicatewiththeapprenticeshipteamand managementteamonaregular basis to discuss any issues and progress.
• Thedescription and personalspecificationareanoutline ofthetasksand responsibilitiesrequired of the role.The holder will carry out any other duties as may reasonably be required by their linemanager.
