Summary
- Act as an integral member of the respiratory multidisciplinary team, ensuring effective communication with medical, nursing, allied health and primary care colleagues, as well as patients and carers - Undertake respiratory nursing assessments within the acute setting, including oxygen assessment and review, structured respiratory reviews, audit activity, and identification of patients suitable for virtual ward, supported discharge or admission avoidance pathways - Provide clinical advice and support to outpatients, including remote and face-to-face assessment, in accordance with agreed pathways - Contribute to agreed areas of specialist respiratory practice, maintaining up-to-date clinical knowledge and supporting service development, including participation in nurse-led clinics as required
