Summary
On Avesbury House, a low secure rehabilitation ward, you will be part of a forward-thinking multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality care to complex patients and driving recovery-focused outcomes. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape clinical practice and support the recovery journey of our patients. The Specialist Community Forensic Team covers the five London boroughs of Camden, Islington, Barnet, Enfield, and Haringey, providing both assertive pre-discharge (transition management) and high levels of multi-disciplinary community forensic after-care for unrestricted patients discharged from secure care. The successful applicant will have responsibility for providing consultant leadership to these well organised teams in the delivery of high-quality patient care to service users. The post holder will find themselves well supported, with ample opportunities for ongoing professional development and collaborative working within the North London Forensic Service in North London NHS Foundation Trust. To provide clinical leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care to service users in Avesbury House and the SCFT. To provide psychiatric assessment and treatment of forensic psychiatric inpatients and as part of the SCFT. To take on the role of Responsible Clinician for detained patients. To produce reports First Tier Tribunals, Hospital Managers hearings, and Criminal Justice System were required. To take the lead on prescribing and risk assessments. To participate and lead weekly ward rounds on Avesbury House. To produce reports for CQC Tribunals, Hospital Managers hearings and Criminal Justice System where required. Liaison with Courts, prisons, Ministry of Justice, MAPPA (Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements), General Adult Psychiatric Services and adjunct services.
