Neway International are seeking an Experienced Adult Social Worker – Social Care Qualified to join our client Liverpool City Council.

The Role
The Experienced Adult Social Worker will contribute to the effective delivery of Adult Social Care services, undertaking complex assessments, support planning, safeguarding activity and case management. You will work as part of an integrated team, applying professional judgement, legislative frameworks and evidence‑based practice to ensure safe, timely and person‑centred outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Manage a complex and varied caseload with appropriate supervision and support.

Undertake assessments, prepare written reports, and contribute to Court of Protection applications.

Exercise professional judgement in complex decision‑making and risk management.

Communicate effectively in high‑risk or complex situations.

Represent the service at multi‑disciplinary forums and chair meetings where required.

Undertake direct work with adults, carers and families in line with safeguarding procedures.

Act as care navigator, coordinating responses to eligible needs within required timescales.

Co‑design support plans with individuals, carers, advocates and partner agencies.

Ensure services are delivered within available financial resources.

Monitor, review and evaluate support plans, identifying gaps or unmet needs.

Work jointly with Social Care Assessors, delegating tasks appropriately.

Complete mental capacity and best interests assessments.

Lead safeguarding enquiries, ensuring timely completion and accurate recording.

Work collaboratively across multi‑agency boundaries and within integrated teams.

Promote inclusive practice, challenging discrimination and supporting equality.

Maintain high‑quality, timely case records on Liquid Logic and other systems.

Ensure lawful, accurate and confidential handling of personal data.

Participate in supervision, reflective practice and ongoing professional development.

Support colleagues by offering guidance within your area of expertise.

Participate in the duty system.

Act as Trusted Assessor for equipment/minor adaptations where appropriate.

Contribute to service development and uphold health and safety responsibilities.

Candidate Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration.

Enhanced DBS.

Eligible to work in the UK.

Strong experience in adult social care, safeguarding and complex case management.

Ability to work within legislative frameworks including the Care Act 2014.

Skilled in risk assessment, decision‑making and multi‑agency collaboration.

Confident in report writing, court‑related documentation and professional communication.

Competent in using Liquid Logic and electronic case management systems.
