Location: Sunderland
Hours:
Monday–Thursday: 08:00–16:30 (40 hours)
Friday: 08:00–14:00
Possible Bank Holiday working
Pay Rate:
£13.51 per hour
Increasing to approx. £14.05 per hour from April
Holiday Entitlement:
20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays

The Role
We are recruiting an Administrative Assistant to support a busy site-based management team in Sunderland. This is a hands-on office role requiring strong organisation, communication, and the confidence to deal with multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
General office administration duties
Client Help Desk support (2nd stage triage)
Help Desk cover during holidays and breaks
Site HR administration support for the management team
Managing the new starter process via the Bidvest onboarding system
Liaising with subcontractors to request and chase quotations
Creating and managing client quotes (manual and via TASK system)
Controlling the TASK quote system, including reworks
Raising purchase orders for stock and non-stock items where required
About You
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Self-motivated with the ability to manage workload independently
Highly organised with good attention to detail
Comfortable working in an open office environment
Confident approaching management for updates and information
Previous administrative or office-based experience essential
