Job Title: Learning Mentor

- Provide emotional and academic support to students with additional needs (e.g., autism, ADHD, etc.), helping them fully access the curriculum and extracurricular activities.
- Assist students in lessons, assemblies, parents' evenings, reviews, and school visits.
- Work with individuals and groups of students under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO.
- Help plan and organize learning activities to support students' development.
- Remove barriers to learning by fostering a positive and supportive environment that promotes cognitive growth.
- Support students' physical and emotional well-being by assisting with personal care as required, including tasks such as feeding, toileting, and personal hygiene.
- Work closely with the SENCO to set and review individual student targets, contributing to written reports.
- Monitor the progress of assigned students and maintain accurate, detailed records that align with the school's systems. Provide feedback to the teacher regarding the students' progress.
- Experience in learning support or working with young people with learning disabilities (such as autism, ADHD, etc.).
- Background in working within an educational environment, providing either academic or personal care support.
- Willingness to assist with personal care needs, such as feeding, toileting, and other intimate care requirements.
- Available for an immediate interview.
- Right to Work & Enhanced Adult/Child DBS dated within the last 3 months or registered on the update service.
