Are you a hands-on Customs Manager ready to lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced logistics environment?
We’re working with a progressive Dover-based business looking for someone to take full ownership of their customs function.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead a team of clerks across day & night shifts
- Ensure all import/export customs activity is accurate, compliant, and on time
- Provide technical guidance and oversee customs clearance processes
- Manage performance, appraisals, rotas, and complex people issues
- Collaborate with operations & sales to support growth
- Drive improvements in systems, tools, and ways of working
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience managing a customs function
- Strong technical knowledge of customs clearance & compliance
- Confident people manager, calm under pressure
- Comfortable in a 24/7 operational environment
- Forward-thinking, proactive, and commercially aware
