Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
We seek an energetic and positive individual who will deliver lessons and manage classrooms when staff are absent.
Your excellent communication and organisational skills will enable work to be delivered confidently and calmly, and you will also resolve immediate problems or emergencies in the classroom (in accordance with the school’s policies and procedures) so should be adaptable and able to multi-task effectively. The Cover Supervisor will also give direction to the Learning Support Assistant within the classroom and be a reliable team member.
When not required for covering lessons, you will support in other areas of the school, such as the Pastoral Hub, undertaking a range of administrative tasks.
We are looking for outstanding individuals who will relish the opportunity to:
• Work within a team and be reliable and supportive
• Demonstrate a calm and confident manner in the classroom
• Give clear instruction to students whilst showing an understanding of their range of needs with an understanding of SEND provisions
• Relish the opportunity to continue enhancing their own CPD through ongoing training
You are likely to be someone who:
• Can demonstrate good knowledge of ICT programmes such as Microsoft TEAMS, Arbor and Outlook
• Can be flexible and adapt to the needs of the school on a daily basis
• Enjoys working with young people and can demonstrate an understanding of their needs and requirements
