TeacherActive is proud to be working a fantastic secondary school in Kent, the school are seeking an enthusiastic Science Teacher for long-term or day-to-day cover at a high-performing secondary school in Tonbridge. You’ll be joining a well-established, supportive science team, working in fantastic, well-resourced laboratories and teaching students who achieve consistently strong results at both GCSE and A Level. The school is well regarded, at the heart of the local community, and offers a positive, professional environment where high standards and collaboration are valued.
The Head Teacher is looking to take on a driven Teacher of Science, ideally with a Chemistry specialism, (although other sciences will be considered), on a Long-Term basis until the end of the academic year. This will lead to a permanent position for the right Science Teacher. The successful Teacher of Science will be working across both Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, including exam preparation for GCSEs. The role will be paramount in helping students achieve excellent results, whilst following and implementing the schemes of learning.
The successful Science Teacher will have:
- QTS with Science specialism (ECT’s are welcome to apply)
- Experience teaching Science up to Key Stage 4 / KS4
- Excellent classroom management
