About Us

The City of London Corporation is the City of opportunities, diversity, social impact and commercial influence. Our work touches lives not just in the Square Mile or even in London, but across the UK and beyond. The work we do is a catalyst for economic and social progress, and you could play an important part.

As a key member of our Adult Skills and Education Service, you’ll do more than teach. You’ll also help to make sure the needs of priority groups and areas within the City are understood and fed back into curriculum planning. Put simply, you’ll make sure we offer the skills people really need, in ways that meet their needs. It’s a varied and vital role
- from developing and delivering a range of digital skills, Cyber Security, Data Science, and other IT related topics, to coordinating ACL/AEB Internal course work assessment. And, from e-safety to the quality of teaching and learning, both online and in the classroom, you’ll make sure tools such as Google Classroom Educational, Moodle, TEAMs and Zoom make a positive difference to our learners.

About You

To join us, you’ll need a degree-level education and a teaching/vocational/professional qualification relevant to FE or adult learning. A creative and supportive teacher, you have proven experience in adult skills, education, and apprenticeships. Naturally, we expect this to include teaching ICT/digital skills courses, both accredited and otherwise.

You’ll demonstrate working knowledge of quality assurance systems, online health and safety, and reporting. Just as importantly, you will bring to the role a flair for working with learners from a wide range of backgrounds, and with a wide range of abilities. Passionate about adult and community learning, you’ll relish this opportunity.

When it comes to valuing our people, we have one key goal: to be an excellent employer. We offer a wide range of development opportunities in this most diverse and challenging of organizations.
