About the Role
Long Term Futures is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a small, specialist SEMH school in the LE8 area. The school supports pupils who have struggled to access mainstream education, offering a calm, structured and nurturing environment with very small class sizes and high levels of staff support.

Pupils follow a blended curriculum that combines academic learning with outdoor activities and therapeutic or wellbeing-focused sessions. Strong relationships, clear routines and personalised support are central to helping pupils re-engage with learning and build confidence.

- Assist learning across classroom, outdoor and practical activities
- Build consistent, trusting relationships with pupils
- Follow individual support plans and contribute to progress tracking
- Encourage confidence, resilience, independence and engagement

- Experience supporting children or young people (education, care, sports, youth work, mentoring, coaching or similar)
- Confidence managing behaviour in a calm, consistent and supportive way
- Patient, resilient and adaptable approach
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

Why Apply?
- Long-term role with a clear pathway into a permanent position
- Small setting with strong staff support and a positive team culture
