About the Role

Long Term Futures is recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a small specialist SEMH school in the LE8 area. The school supports pupils who have found mainstream education challenging and provides a highly structured, nurturing setting with very small classes and high levels of staff support.

- Assist learning across classroom, outdoor and practical activities
- Build consistent, trusting relationships with pupils
- Follow individual support plans and contribute to progress tracking
- Encourage confidence, resilience, independence and engagement

What We're Looking For
- Experience supporting children or young people (education, care, youth work, mentoring, coaching or similar)
- Confidence managing behaviour in a calm, supportive and consistent way
- Patient, resilient and adaptable approach
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
- Applicants from sports coaching or mentoring backgrounds are particularly encouraged to apply

Why Apply
- Long-term role with a clear route into a permanent position
