Introduction
Cambrian Concrete Services are seeking to recruit a person as a Concrete Plant Batcher at our recently acquired concrete plant in
Denbigh. Cambrian Services Limited operate a number of fixed and mobile concrete plants across the United Kingdom principally in
North Wales and Scotland
The Batcher will be responsible for the accurate operation of the batching plant, maintaining quality control, and ensuring the
safe, efficient, and timely delivery of concrete to meet customer and project requirements. You will work closely with drivers,
plant operators, and site teams to maintain high standards of safety, quality,
efficiency, and service.
Roles and Responsibilities
Main Responsibilities
* Operate the batching plant safely and efficiently in line with company and industry standards.
* Produce concrete to the correct mix design, ensuring all loads meet required specifications and quality standards.
* Manage and record all batching data accurately, including material usage, batch quantities, and delivery details.
* Maintain the correct levels of raw materials stocks to satisfy customer requirements
* Goods receipt materials and services received so that costs are expensed in a timely manner
* Coordinate with hauliers and drivers to ensure on-time deliveries to site.
* Carry out routine checks and maintenance of the batching plant and equipment to ensure operational reliability.
* Report any equipment faults, maintenance needs, or non-conformances promptly to the Cambrian General Manager.
* Work closely with the Cambrian Administration Assistant to ensure batching schedules and customer requirements are met.
* Ensure all activities comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations and company policies.
* Maintain a clean and tidy work area, including all plant, vehicles, and storage areas.
* Support Cambrian and Jones Bros projects by maintaining consistent supply and communication with site teams.
Person Specification
* Valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
* Demonstrable experience operating a concrete batching plant.
* Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental standards in batching or construction environments.
* Ability to follow mix designs and quality control procedures accurately.
* Good organisational and time management skills.
* Competence in operating computer-based batching and weighing systems.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable:
* Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) or National Plant Operators Registration Scheme (NPORS) certification.
* First Aid at Work qualification.
* Site Environmental Awareness Training Scheme (SEATS) or equivalent.
* Experience working within quarry, concrete, or civil engineering operations.
* HGV Class2 License
* Prepared to work in other locations to support the wider team
