Summary

The College of Health and Life Sciences is seeking an Apprentice Simulation Technician to join a technical team providing support to the Clinical and Cognitive Science subject groups. The role will primarily involve providing technical support within the clinical facilities used by the Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Physician Associate programmes.

The successful candidate will undertake a variety of technical duties, for which full training will be provided. As part of the role, the post holder will complete a Level 3 Simulation Technician Apprenticeship. Upon successful completion, apprentices will be eligible to apply for nationally recognised registration with the Association of Simulated Practice in Healthcare (ASPiH) and gain Registered Science Technician (RSciTech) status.

Applicants should be educated to at least GCSE level, with five GCSEs at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent), including Maths and English.
