The Governing Body are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced candidate to the post of Cover Supervisor.
St Thomas More Catholic School is secondary school educating children aged 11-18. The school is committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment, promoting the welfare of its children and young people. It has a strong community ethos and a dedication to academic excellence, supported by a growing sixth form and a good Ofsted rating.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring that students remain on task and follow the work set by the teacher. This role is ideal for a postgraduate considering a career in teaching, as the school is keen to offer support with teacher training for the right candidate.
The successful appointee should possess:
Degree level qualification (desirable)
- GCSE Grade C or above in English and Mathematics, or equivalent
- Good communication skills - written and oral
- Ability to use negotiating and persuasive skills
- Team player
