Summary
Manufacturing Technician
Location: Birmingham
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday, 07:00-15:30
Pay Rate: £12.65 per hour
This onsite role at the Protein Diagnostics Division in Birmingham involves supporting the manufacturing of world-leading diagnostic products. As a Manufacturing Technician II, you will be part of a dedicated operations team, ensuring product quality, equipment readiness, and smooth workflow execution.
Main Responsibilities
- Complete assigned manufacturing tasks to a production plan
- Manage materials and inventory needed for daily work
- Operate and maintain designated equipment or work areas
- Ensure work is completed right first time
- Follow procedures, safety rules, and instructions
- Support continuous improvement activities
- Carry out other reasonable duties as required
Requirements
- GCSEs (or equivalent) or a relevant degree
- At least 1 year experience in manufacturing, production, lab, or similar environment
- Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office / Excel)
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and prioritise tasks
Desirable
- Experience working in a cGMP or regulated environment
