Your new role
As a Section Engineer, you will play a vital role in driving construction progress and ensuring your section of the project is delivered safely, accurately and to specification. Working on large infrastructure schemes across East Anglia, you'll take ownership of setting‑out activities, quality assurance and day‑to‑day site coordination.

Key responsibilities include:

- Liaising with site management to complete accurate quality take‑offs
- Identifying potential commercial risks or opportunities
- Preparing hazard and risk assessments and supporting method statements
- Conducting inspections and testing to ensure works meet design requirements
- Training and mentoring Junior Engineers
- Managing all sectional setting‑out and service drawing requirements
- Issuing permits and supporting project documentation needs
- Assisting the QS and Project Manager with records for claims and reporting
- Managing as‑built records and contributing to the health & safety file
- Ensuring full compliance with quality, safety and environmental standards

This is a hands‑on role where your technical knowledge and leadership will make a tangible impact on successful project delivery.


What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this position, you'll bring:


- Strong and varied setting‑out experience on major infrastructure schemes (highways, roads, earthworks)
- Competence using Leica or Geomax equipment and transferring data from AutoCAD
- A sound understanding of ITPs, quality processes and construction best practice
- Natural leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior team members
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the Eastern region
