Summary

Financial Analyst - 6‑Month FTC | £80,000 | Fully Remote (Offices in Stockton Available)

Hays are looking for a high‑impact Financial Analyst to join a thriving company on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract, working fully remotely with the option to use the Stockton offices whenever you choose. This is a role for someone who loves rolling up their sleeves, diving deep into the numbers, and shaping financial insight that drives real operational transformation.

What You'll Be Driving From Day One
P&L Baseline & Transparency

  • Establish a clear, measurable baseline in the P&L
  • Deliver transparent, robust analysis to support decision‑making

Install & Maintenance (I&M) Revenue & Cost

  • Separate Install & Maintenance revenue and cost streams
  • Ensure accurate cost mapping and flow-through
  • Validate cost apportionment across vehicles, fuel, SG&A
  • Align PO controls for 3PL with procurement
  • Conduct deep spend analysis in the first 3 months and agree baseline with the Director
  • Build financial KPIs tied directly to the P&L
  • Create a forecasting model covering fixed/variable costs and 3PL vs internal cost structures
  • Review revenue mapping and support revenue assurance, including WIP timing methodology
  • Identify and analyse margin leakage
  • Support business case development for transformation initiatives

Revenue & Cost

  • Review and refine charts of accounts to align with revenue
  • Agree GL code mapping with Accounting and the Director
  • Support inventory and Capex projects (furniture/white goods ordering, inventory controls)
  • Build forecasting linked to pipeline forecasting
  • Analyse operational revenue and margin leakage from materials management
  • Support commercial price book analysis and rate setting
  • Contribute to buy‑vs‑hire commercial modelling
  • Support Transformation analysis

Unit Sales

  • Develop commercial analysis to enhance profitability insight
  • Build pricing methodologies and templates to support commercial strategy
  • Produce forecasts linked to pipeline and conversion

What You Bring

  • A sharp analytical mind with a track record of delivering clarity in complex financial environments
  • Confidence working autonomously in a fast‑paced, transformation‑focused setting
  • Strong experience in forecasting, revenue mapping, cost modelling, and KPI development
  • The ability to collaborate with directors, operational teams, and finance stakeholders
