About the Candidate
You will be a proactive, creative and values-driven communicator who understands the power of digital platforms to inspire, include and connect communities. With strong relationship-building skills and a collaborative mindset, you will work across teams to amplify student voices, celebrate diversity and promote opportunity, ensuring EPNE’s social channels reflect its commitment to inclusion, aspiration and social impact. Curious, data-informed and adaptable, the post-holder will continuously innovate to reach new audiences, remove barriers to engagement and support learners at every stage of their journey. By combining empathy with strategic thinking, this individual will be a changemaker—using storytelling, community engagement and insight to widen participation, strengthen belonging and help EPNE transform lives through education.
About the Role
The Social Media Officer is responsible for managing and developing Education Partnership North East’s (EPNE) online presence across social media platforms. This includes creating and curating content, coordinating day-to-day activity, and supporting positive online community engagement. The role contributes to increasing brand awareness, student recruitment and engagement through the delivery of effective social media campaigns. It requires a strong understanding of social media trends, analytics, and audience engagement strategies.

Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree in a related discipline OR relevant experience in a marketing or communications related role
