Summary


An opportunity has arisen to join the Hepatology Clinical Research Team, based in the Grahame Hayton Unit at the Royal London Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust. The clinical research unit undertakes and manages clinical trials within the rapidly changing HIV/Sexual Health/Hepatology disease areas, offering a high standard of care to patients from a variety of backgrounds. This post will mainly focus on the areas of NAFLD (Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease) & NASH (Non Alcoholic Steatohepatitis) but will also include Viral Hepatitis, Auto Immune Hepatitis and Alcoholic Hepatitis.

Experience & knowledge within the areas of HIV/Sexual Health/Hepatology and clinical research is essential for this post alongside a recognised post graduate qualification in the care of HIV Disease and/or Liver Disease. The candidate should be highly organised, enthusiastic, patient focused and able to communicate effectively on a variety of levels. Support will be provided but the candidate should be able to work autonomously, show attention to detail and cope well under pressure.

Whilst this is predominantly a 9-5 position, it will require flexibility in hours to fit with service development and support and may therefore, where appropriate, require some early morning or evening cover.
