Summary


The Public Protection Unit is made up of a number of specialist units with the responsibility of keeping people safe from harm and investigating offences committed against the most vulnerable. The Child Abuse Investigation Team (CAIT), Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE), Indecent Images of Children (IIIOC) and Criminal Exploitation Missing & Mental Health (CEMM) teams are responsible for offences committed against children and young people and the risk related to them. The Safeguarding Adult Missing & Mental Health (SAMM) team is responsible for offences committed against vulnerable adults and the risk related to them. These teams also work alongside the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), the Integrated Offender Management (IOM) and the Management of Sex and Dangerous Offenders (MOSOVO) teams.

This role is a fixed term contract for 6 - 9 months

The proposed interview date is W/C 9th February.

The successful candidate for this role will be vetted at level Staff MV. This means the individual will need at least 5 years worth of residency in the UK.
