The Role:

As part of its ambitious commitment to carbon reduction, Winchester City Council have allocated multi-million pounds of funding over the next 5 years, to finance retrofit measures to improve the energy efficiency of its housing stock and reduce carbon emissions.

In support of this ambitious programme of work, the council is looking to recruit a Graduate Site Inspector who is a highly motivated individual with enthusiasm and focus to fill a crucial role in the team. The candidate should have exceptional attention to detail and an ability to work to tight deadlines.

This permanent post within the Housing Team is aimed at someone who is working towards a construction accreditation scheme or a recent graduate who is passionate about project delivery and ensuring high quality projects that are compliant and are delivered on time.

The graduate will be supported by the Team’s Project Managers and Retrofit Coordinators to ensure their professional development milestones are met and/or their graduate scheme goals are supported.

The candidate will be predominantly site based to ensure compliant delivery of construction with some office time for administrative work.
